Method 1: Rename or Reset SRS File Send and Receive Settings in MS Outlook

The default extension is.srs, which is created by default at the time of account creation in MS Outlook. For removing this error you have to reset/rename your send/receive settings (.srs) file as Outlook rules stopped working.

Method 2: Using IMAP or POP Resolve Corruption

1. Delete MS Outlook rules by following the mentioned path:

In Outlook 2010, 2013 and 2016:

In Outlook 2007 and previous Versions:

Open MS Outlook, click on Tools options, and choose Rules and Alerts option.

2. Again, verify the store location of MS Outlook Data File.

To do so:

In Outlook 2010, 2013 and 2016:

  • Open MS Outlook in your system then, go to file tab. Choose Account Settings, click on data file and open file location.

In Outlook 2007 and previous Versions:

Open MS Outlook in your machine and choose File option. Select Data File Management option and choose Data File then, click on Open File Location.

Location: C:\Users\admin\Documents\Outlook Files

3. Now, close MS Outlook and run Inbox Repair Tool for checking an error in PST File.

4. Then, restart MS Outlook.

5. Now, make rules again.

Method 3: Resolve Corruption Issue by Connecting with MS Exchange Account

If you are connected with MS Exchange, then firstly disable cache Exchange Mode and check whether it is working or not. If it is working then, by disabling cache Exchange Mode recreate the rule. Now allocate the MS Outlook OST file and rename it via.old. Once it is done then, re-enable the cache Exchange Mode.
