Solution 1: Auto Account Setup to create a new account

  • Open Control panel and go to mail. Click on Show Profiles.
  • Click on Add to create a New Profile
  • Enter the name of a new profile in the text box of Profile Name and then click on OK to continue.
  • Click on Email Account & fill the details required on the current window. Click on Next.
  • After finishing up with entering of entire credentials, click on Next.

Now, wait for a while because Outlook will check the configuration details. If all goes well then, a new profile will be created; else move to the next solution to manually create a new profile.

Solution 2: Manually Create Email Account

  • Click Start >> Control Panel >> Mail. Click Show Profiles.
  • Click on Add to create a New Profile.
  • Enter the name of a new profile in the text box of Profile Name and then click on OK to continue.
  • Select manually configure server settings & click Next.
  • Select Internet E-mail & click Next.
  • Enter all the information regarding user, server & logon.
  • Check New Outlook Data files.
  • After that, Browse the data file & click Next.
  • Finally, click on Test account settings. If all goes well then, click on Next >> Finish.

Method #2: Repair Corrupted PST Files

There is a manual method to recover the corrupt PST files i.e., scanpst.exe. It is an Inbox repair tool, which is provided by Microsoft Outlook to fix all minor level corruption from the file. This tool is located at C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16 in the machine where Outlook is installed. However, there are some limitations of this Inbox Repair tool like it cannot recover highly corrupted files, users must have some technical knowledge, etc.

If you create the new profile & still Outlook error 0x8004010f not solved then, repair the corrupt Outlook PST file by scanpst.exe utility.
